What to communicate with your colleagues in April?

April is such an interesting month. March offers us those first spring moments of warm sun and awakening nature. However, April, with its frequent rain, reminds us that we need to wait a little longer for the real warmth and basking in the sun. But April is a month that surprises us on the very first day - with April Fool's Day, of course. Have you thought about how to play a fun prank in your company?

‍

This year, April 1st falls on a Saturday, but we've prepared some ideas for you anyway:

‍

  • Tell your coworkers that the company has changed its logo and display a new logo that is, for example, very similar to your competitor's.
  • Announce that the company has a new product that stands out from your usual offerings.
  • Inform your coworkers that a famous person everyone knows will be joining your team for a specific position. Maybe your ambassador or someone who carries out marketing activities for your company.
  • Intentionally share something among coworkers that looks like it was accidentally shared.
  • Simply send your coworkers a funny, sympathetic picture and wish them a playful April Fool's Day.

What does April bring us?

‍

April 1st; April Fool's Day

‍

April 2nd; World Youth Literature Day. This day is dedicated to encouraging reading among young people. This date coincides with the birthday of Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen.

Encourage your coworkers to read an interesting book to their children or organize a family reading circle. As a challenge, invite the children of your employees to draw a picture related to their favorite fairy tale or create a bookmarker and reward the best ones.

‍

April 7th; World Health Day. Use this day to raise awareness among your coworkers about the importance of taking care of their health.

Prepare a set of exercises that employees can perform during working hours to ensure better well-being and a healthy posture. - We can provide some for you. Contact us and let's arrange it ;).

Organize a squat or push-up challenge and encourage coworkers to submit their videos/pictures to a gallery.

As part of your sports club, organize an additional event - e.g. a walk up a nearby hill.

‍

April 22nd; Earth Day; A day when you can focus even more on the responsibility that we, as individuals, have towards our planet Earth. This is a day when we remember the interdependence of us, the planet, and all other living beings.

Encourage employees to reflect and guide them towards more mindful behavior:

‍

  • Prepare an initiative - car-free day and encourage coworkers to mark it in a gallery.
  • Prepare content on how to spend a day without plastic.
  • Post a recipe for creating a completely new, tasty dish from leftover or very ripe food. You can also ask your coworkers for a recipe.
  • Collect your company's positive sustainability actions and ask employees for suggestions on how to be even more sustainable.

‍

April 28th; World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

Prepare a quiz for employees to test their knowledge of safety and health at work rules and remind them of the importance of this area.

‍

April 29th; World Dance Day

Let your employees dance on this day too. Offer them a free salsa class (live or online) and let them spin to the rhythm and brighten their day.

The day falls on a Saturday, so you can prepare this on Friday instead.

‍

‍Whether we celebrate April Fool's Day, Dance Day, or Earth Day, it is important that communication with your employees is always positive and lets them know that you care about them.

Enjoy these spring days and see you again next month.
